Founded in 1985, Manavi is the first organization in the United States dedicated to ending all forms of violence against South Asian survivors. Using a survivor-centered approach, Manavi provides culturally specific and linguistically appropriate services to South Asian survivors of violence. Manavi’s staff and volunteers are bilingual—speaking over 14 different South Asian languages.
“When nobody was out there for me, Manavi held my hand and because of that I am surviving with dignity and individual identity. Today, I proudly call myself a survivor.”
