Supreme Court Overturned Roe V. Wade

Today the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, but the most personal decision someone can make. This now gives the rights to states to ban abortion. For survivors of domestic violence, abortion access is a matter of safety. All people deserve full control over their lives and make their own decisions.

It is sad and outrageous that in 2022 we are still fighting to preserve our reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. Abortion rights and reproductive rights are human rights.

This decision will disproportionately harm people of color and further compound the existing racial inequities in accessing healthcare. Reproductive justice is very much a part of our continued struggle to achieve racial justice.

This is unacceptable. Now is the time when we need to take action and speak out.
